Namib Naukluft National Park

- The oldest desert in the world -

Namib

This oldest and driest desert on earth has existed for 20 million years. Its dunes stretch over 1500 km from Angola in the north to South Africa in the south. Its dunes, shining in all earth tones, are up to 325 m high. And despite the dryness, the scorching heat during the day and the freezing cold at night on some days, numerous animals and plants adapted to this natural environment live here. A breathtaking landscape.
