Skeleton Coast and Namib Desert

This 580 km long stretch of Namibia's coastline forms the Skeleton Coast National Park. This coastal strip, which is only 100 km wide, is situated on the ice-cold Atlantic Ocean and the Namib Desert due to the Benguela Current. It is an extreme, almost mystical and fascinating landscape that owes its name to the numerous shipwrecks that have taken place here.
